Why it Matters
The Haven plays an important role in ensuring essential programs of support services are accessible to people across Lanarkshire and beyond. This support not only addresses the immediate needs of our clients, but also contributes to the long-term mental health and wellbeing of many people living in our local communities.
There is such a huge demand for emotional and wellbeing supportive services for families affected by life limiting illness, caring and bereavement at the moment. During April 2023 - March 2024 The Haven supported 520 individual clients. This is a 56% increase on the 12 months previous and the increased demand has continued since April this year.
This is why it is crucial for The Haven to receive support from the local community and ask our supporters to register for a Kiltwalk and walk for a good cause.

"I can honestly say without speaking with you I would still be lost in my own head and not being able to process my feelings."

Support our cause

If you can't join Team Haven you can still help support families affected by life limiting illness and bereavement by sponsoring those taking part or by making a donation directly to The Haven. Any amount you can will go directly towards providing emotional and wellbeing support to those families coping with the emotional, practical and physical impact of illness, caring and bereavement.
Lets face the future together.

One of our fabulous Haven Nurses - Alison - will be taking on the Kiltwalk challenge in Glasgow. Along side friends and family Alison will be walking 14 miles from Clydebank to Balloch, Loch Lomond. With every step and every mile Alison will be raising vital funds to help make sure that free and responsive Haven services are available for those who need support.
