Haven News …The Haven is still “hear” to help…..
The Haven Team are still here to help you, your family members and loved ones during these challenging times. We know this may be an anxious time for you so we want you to know how you can get in touch with us to receive the support you may need.
Our Wellbeing Support Line will be open from 10am on Monday 23rd March.
Lines will be open daily, Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
When you call, a staff member will take your contact details and ask one of our Haven Nurses or Children Young People and Families Service Coordinator to call you back.
We will aim to call you back as soon as we can and within 24hours (Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm).
Our Specialist Practitioners can arrange a one to one telephone emotional support session and/or email support.
They will provide you with helpful information, a range of self-management techniques, useful websites and downloads and links to other organisations that may also help you.
We are currently developing our Digital Wellbeing Support Service which will include digital one to one support and a range of useful self-management information for you to use.

The Haven is actively taking precautionary measures and continuously monitoring the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak, in line with local and national authority, public health and WHO advice and guidelines.
As an organisation we are monitoring the situation closely to enable continued support for our clients, many of whom have underlying health conditions and/or are elderly.
The continued ability to maintain, as far as practically possible, safe and effective emotional support services to our clients is our number one priority, as is the safety of our staff and volunteers.
We are following local and national public health closely to ensure this and have also implemented some adaptions to our services within each of the 3 Haven Centres.
Important Points for you to know
Haven Services WILL Continue:
- Support for clients will continue to be available via responsive telephone support sessions with The Haven specialist nurses and Children, Young People & Families Service co-ordinator, from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 4pm
Please do NOT attend Haven Centres:
- Client appointments, drop in services and visits to all Haven centres will not be available until further notice (each centre is only open to Haven staff).
Please be assured we will continue to monitor the situation very closely, risk assessing every day and will update the website should the contact details for support change as the situation develops.
