As we recently announced, we are expanding our successful Children, Young People and Families Service to our Forth centre, something we are delighted about. In order for the service to be fully established, we are recruiting volunteers aged 16 to 25 to come on board as peer support volunteers for the children and young people who access the service.
This September we are aiming to take our biggest team ever to the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise vital funds in order to sustain
our support and services across our three centres.
People from all over Lanarkshire will be walking in aid of The Haven at one of Scotland’s highest profile charity events, the Kiltwalk, in Edinburgh which is taking place on Sunday 15th September.

Taster sessions will be running throughout the summer holidays and will be the first stage of piloting the Children and Young People’s Service from our centre in Forth, giving families in the local area an insight into what the service will look like and will allow the service to be developed in line with the needs of the local Clydesdale area.
We are delighted to announce that our Blantyre centre has been shortlisted to receive a share of £25,000 as part of Scotmid Co-operative’s Community Connect initiative which supports some of Scotland’s most valued community projects.
We are now asking for the support of the local community to vote for us to receive the top prize of £15,000. Strathcarron Hospice and Ronald Macdonald House are also in the running for funds and alongside the top prize, two £5,000 investments will be made to the runners up.
To celebrate National Volunteers Week (1-7 June) all three of our Haven centres hosted special celebrations for our centre volunteers and Haven Helpers to thank them for all they do for The Haven.
Our Blantyre centre hosted a Strawberry Tea and our Wishaw and Forth centres hosted an Afternoon Tea.
