Our Stained Glasss Windows

To mark the creation of The Haven within Blantyre Health Centre a stained glass project was proposed incorporating work with children from local primary schools. Working with the artist Fiona Foley, pupils designed and helped manufacture the stained glass windows. The project was initiated by palliative care staff at Udston Hospital and funded through sponsorship of various companies, with the educational element of the project funded by South Lanarkshire Council. Each of the schools was given a special colour for their window. The children were asked what images might cheer them up or calm them down and their ideas were collated to produce the final designs.
