The Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health Awards 2008 Established by HRH the Prince of Wales, the awards recognise outstanding achievements in client centred healthcare, where the emotional and health needs of the individual, their family and the wider community are supported.
The results have now been announced and The Haven was the first runner up for Scotland. The report regarding The Haven says:
"For several years the Haven has offered a safe place, talk, homeliness and complementary therapies for those living with cancer, MS and motor neurone disease. Now they've expanded their service with walks and gym access for those who are relatively well and home complementary therapies - even in the final days of life - for the very ill. Many travel across the county to use this exceptional service."
Fiona Davidson (Active Steps Coordinator) and Kevin McGrath, whose client testimomial contributed to our success, travelled to London to accept the award and meet with Prince Charles.
