How can you help?
Could you organise a fundraising event?
We simply could not raise enough money to fund our services to the community without the enthusiasm, imagination and energy of the community itself.
There is no limit to the number of events that can be run successfully by anyone raising funds for us - from coffee mornings to casino nights, leg waxing to formal balls. We can offer all sorts of help and resources for your event if we know about it in advance so be sure to fill in an event registration form. Without the tremendous enthusiasm, imagination and energy of so many generous people we simply could not raise enough money to fund our services.
We would particularly like to set up a network of Fundraising groups across Lanarkshire. Interested? email or call 01698 727886
Could this be the year that you change someone's life, including your own?
Our charity challenges offer you the chance to fulfil your dreams while raising funds for our valuable cause. You can climb, Climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Walk the Great Wall of China, White Water Rafting and why not do a Parachute Jump!. If closer to home is more your style we can offer Coast to Coast or End to End Bike rides, a walk or half marathon across Morecambe Bay or a Hadrian's Wall trek to name a few. The list is endless, so if you have a certain challenge in mind please contact us, let us help you to support us in an inspirational challenge. Email or call 01698 727886
Help people live their life by living your life to the fullest with The Haven Challenges.
Invest in your community, boost your reputation and build team spirit through event sponsorship, payroll giving.
There are many ways your company can help us. We have a number of events that reach large numbers of people locally and nationally that need Sponsorship. Many companies find it beneficial to choose one charity to focus their efforts on for a set period, choosing The Haven for your Charity of the Year guarantees involvement from a dedicated fundraiser. Alternatively organising a one off or annual event can be great fun or you could encourage team building by encouraging your staff to take part.
If you would like to discuss any of the above or Payroll Giving or Caused Related Marketing please do not hesitate to contact Connie Postlethwaite, Fundraiser on 01698 727886 or email Connie.

Give in celebration
The celebration of the life of a loved one is very special and by making a donation in memory of a friend or relative can provide great comfort at the time of loss, and become a positive way to celebrate their life while supporting the work that we do at The Haven. Sometimes we find comfort in supporting the cause that was important to the person we've lost: keeping their memory alive whilst helping others. Some people choose to make one-off donations others choose to do this annually others choose to organise fundraising events in memory of their loved ones. It's completely up to what you would like to do.
Making a donation in memory, no matter how small can go a long way to helping us continue to support families and carers affected by life limiting illness.
A gift in your Will
Making a will is a great way of ensuring that your loved ones are looked after and that your wishes are followed after your death. If you can also remember The Haven in your will it will help us to continue our important and valuable work in our local community supporting people affected by life limiting illness. The generosity of many people who leave legacies to The Haven is a very important source of income for the charity, and can make a huge difference to new projects.
Employees can support The Haven through their pay. Payroll giving is a simple and tax-effective way of making regular donations to The Haven. The donation is taken directly for the salary before tax and then the taxman makes up the difference.
