 We Need Your Help!

Can you and your family and friends help The Haven raise much needed funds to support families living in communitiesthroughout Lanarkshire, whose lives have been affected by a life limiting illness, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

The Haven has been nominated to be in the running  for Sainsbury’s Charity of the year in two stores in the East Kilbride area.

We are delighted to be up for nomination but the ultimate goal would be to win as this would enable the team Sainsbury’s to raise vital funds for The Haven. www.thehavencentre.com

Stained Glass Windows Project In Aid Of Charity

To mark the creation of The Haven within Blantyre Health Centre a stained glass project was proposed incorporating work with children from local primary schools. Each of the schools was given a special colour for their window.

The Blue Window Auchinraith Primary School

Based on a popular theme of the seaside and the calming effects of the sea. This window shows a dolphin playing in the waves under a magical blue moon and a multicoloured rainbow.

The Green Window Hareleeshill Primary School

Using ideas from nature, leaf patterns and shapes produced this harmonious panel. To one side a bird perches on a branch beneath some elegant plant stems. Incorporated onto the bird is image of a small golden cross.

The Yellow Window St. Ninian's Primary School

Wonderful sunshine ideas. Almost space-like with different planets, stars and suns floating through it.

The Red Window St. Bride's Primary School

Based around two striking images. In the centre a fan of long stemmed red tulips sits in front of a colourful bird high in the branches of a cherry tree. In the background there are flower and sun patterns.
